There are a lot of things one should plan before going on camping. As, it is getting hotter every day in the summers, camping in this heat can become extremely hard. However, there are ways to cope with heat during camping. Below is a list to help.

1. Setting the tent

There are a few things to take care of while setting the tent. It is better to pitch it in the shadiest spot available or at a place facing the wind. If you are given the permission, dug a two feet deep pit and fit your tent in it. Also, an additional tip to keep your tent area cool is to set it up in the evening and take it down in the day time.

2. Take along battery operated fans

Battery operated fans are great for keeping the camping site airy.  A great idea would be to get a bowl of ice and place it in front of the fan for circulation of cooler air. If you do not have a lot of space to carry a fan among other camping gear, hire it from a place nearby or find more portable options.

3. Water

You must prefer drinking water over other soft drinks, alcohol or caffeine. It is the best way to stay hydrated.

4. Dress accordingly

It is better to pack loose, light clothes for camping in the summers. Choose a fabric that is breathable and of a light color. Also, remember to apply sunscreen to prevent any damage to your skin from the scorching sun.
